St. Louis Children's Hospital Toy Drive

We have done different types of community donation drives over the years. Everything from toy drives to food drives to Christmas wishes granted for people with disabilities. A few years ago we decided to host an annual Toy Drive to benefit St. Louis Children’s Hospital after my daughter Lana was a patient there. Seeing what the hospital does to make the child’s day just a little better, meant everything to me as a mom. They rely on toy donations to help not only make a child’s Christmas better, but they use the toys all year round to help the children. After being on the receiving end, I knew this was something that I wanted to do for many years to come.

From that, I came up with the Easter Basket donation drive. We hosted our 1^st drive for Easter 2019 and collected enough to donate over 60 fully stocked Easter baskets and over 1000 filled easter eggs  to the hospital! It was such a success that we plan to host this annually as well.

In 2019, we also hosted our 1^st car giveaway. We donated a used vehicle that we fixed up and made road worthy, to a local Mom in need. We worked with local crisis centers to get the names of people that could truly use reliable transportation. The day we presented her with the keys was a day I will never forget. She was so thankful and so appreciative. I could really tell that it would change her life. Not having to worry about one aspect of her life was going to be a major help and it felt great to be able to do that for someone.
